PCI Ventures hosts office hours Wednesdays from 9:00 to 12:00. Each week, a member of the PCI Ventures team will be available to answer business questions on topics ranging from company formation and legal agreements to benefits and insurance. Anyone is welcome to take advantage of the office hours, so please sign up!

This week's office hours are with Jordana Barmish, MBA, DPT, Portfolio ManagerThey will be virtual; please sign up for a time here!

Dr. Barmish collaborates with Penn clinicians, researchers, faculty and staff to commercialize their inventions via the formation of new ventures. She manages a portfolio of med tech, healthcare IT and life science companies. Jordana supports founders and entrepreneurs via:

  • Company formation & leadership recruitment 
  • Board of Directors participation 
  • Business, strategy and operations advising 
  • Interim hands-on leadership roles within portfolio companies 
  • Market research and consulting project oversight 
  • Fundraising strategy and pitch coaching 
  • Strategic partnership identification, outreach and management 
  • Deal negotiation and execution 
  • Company exit navigation 

 

Prior to joining PCI Ventures, Jordana developed strategic partnerships for a corporate startup, which has since spun out into a connected health joint venture between Comcast and IBX. Jordana's affinity towards helping startups to thrive began during her time at Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures and at CHOP’s Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Jordana graduated with a B.Sc in Psychology from McGill University, a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from Duke University, and an MBA in Strategic Management from Temple University. Prior to pursuing a career at the intersection of business, healthcare and technology, Jordana treated patients with neurologic and vestibular conditions, as a Physical Therapist.
