VFA Northeast Job Fair [event recap]

The Pennovation Center welcomed Venture for America Fellows and member companies on Friday, April 13th for a job fair and happy hour. This Job Fair brought together 30+ startups and 50+ Fellows for a full day of interviews and networking. Interviews were arranged based on companies' candidate preferences in addition to leaving open time for networking with additional Fellows and companies. The purpose of the Job Fair was to increase the odds of a Fellow being hired: In past years, companies were 2x more likely to hire a Fellow if they attended a Job Fair and half of all VFA Fellows received offers from a company they met at a Job Fair. Meeting in person early in the process is the single best way to stand out in a competitive market. Several Pennovation companies participated in the Job Fair and we look forward to having more VFA Fellows join the Pennovation community in the near future.
