The OrVac and SimpleBulb Take Home Awards on the Pennovation Accelerator Pitch Day [event recap]

On Thursday, July 25th, the Pennovation Accelerator held their final Pitch Day, the culminating event for the six-week program focused on go-to-market and fundraising strategies.

Each of the nine cohort companies gave an impressive 5-minute pitch to an audience of 60 people, followed by questions from a panel of judges:

  • Opeola Bukola, Founder and Principal Consultant, Lillo Consulting

  • Rick Genzer, Director of Investments, IT, Ben Franklin Technology Partners

  • Victoria Berenholz, Executive Director, Penn Health-Tech

At the conclusion of the nine pitches, the judges and the Pennovation Accelerator committee deliberated -- for almost 30 minutes it was so close! -- to award two winners:

Greg Yeutter (SimpleBulb) won 6 months of membership at the Pennovation Center with the Best Pitch of the day.

Tyiwanna Carter (The OrVacis the overall 2019 Pennovation Accelerator Winner, based on engagement in the program, growth over the six weeks of the Accelerator, and the final pitch!
