Introduction to Fundraising with Anthony Gold [event recap]

On Friday, June 26th, 1776 mentor Anthony Gold took participants through a comprehensive introduction to obtaining startup capital. Anthony is an experienced social entrepreneur, most recently as co-founder and COO of ROAR for Good, a wearable tech B-corporation that developed a safety module to help reduce assaults against women.

Anthony covered fundraising options, what to consider as you plan for different sources of capital, and how to start making investor connections. He shared tales from his experience with crowdfunding campaigns, as well as tips for strong pitches and business models. As companies in the current Pennovation Accelerator and in the Pennovation Works community consider their options to seek funding, this workshop proved a valuable foundation for founders to understand the different pathways.
