Association of Alumnae Colloquium [event recap]

The University of Pennsylvania's Association of Alumnae hosted their Annual Colloquium at the Pennovation Center on Sunday, October 14th.

The Colloquium, the A of A's signature scholar event, has grown from an occasional offering to an annual event. It took its focus from the University's chosen theme for the year, with the title lead-in being “Women Shaping a Better Tomorrow”and featured a panel of four women from diverse backgrounds and in diverse fields who are working to benefit the Philadelphia community. The panelists each gave a 10 – 15 minute TED-style talk after which there was a Q&A session with the panelists. The panelists included Dr. Michaelle Johnson, a pioneer in the field of assistive and rehabilitative robots, as well as Jane Golden, the artist and driving force behind many of Philadelphia's mural projects.
